The country where the sun rises first in the world is Kiribati.
Located in the central Pacific Ocean, Kiribati is the first country to greet the sunrise each day. This is because of its geographical location, which includes the Line Islands, the easternmost islands of the country.
The Line Islands are situated just west of the International Date Line, which means that when the sun rises in these islands, it is still the previous day on the other side of the line.
Therefore, residents of the Line Islands experience the sunrise before anyone else on Earth.
While Kiribati technically holds the title of the first country to see the sun rise, it's worth noting that the easternmost point of the world is actually in the U.S. state of Alaska, at the Attu Island. However, Attu Island is uninhabited, making Kiribati the first inhabited land to experience sunrise.
