The border line between India and Pakistan is officially called the "International Border".
This border is divided into two main parts:
- The Radcliffe Line: This line was drawn by Sir Cyril Radcliffe in 1947 and forms the boundary between India and Pakistan in Punjab and Bengal.
- The Line of Control (LoC): This line marks the de facto border in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir. It was established in 1972 after the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
The International Border is heavily guarded and patrolled by both countries. It is a complex and sensitive area with a history of conflict and tension.
