You cannot directly add users to your personal OneDrive account. OneDrive is designed for individual use, allowing you to store and share files with others. However, you can grant access to specific files or folders with others.
Here's how:
- Sign in to your OneDrive account.
- Locate the file or folder you want to share.
- Click the "Share" button.
- Enter the email address of the person you want to share with.
- Select the level of access you want to grant (view, edit, or full control).
- Click "Share".
The recipient will receive an email notification with a link to the shared file or folder.
For businesses, OneDrive for Business offers collaborative features:
- Shared workspaces: Create shared folders for teams.
- User management: Admins can add and manage users.
- Permissions: Control access levels for different users.
To add users to your OneDrive for Business account, you need to be an administrator. You can then use the Microsoft 365 admin center to manage users and their permissions.
Note: If you're using a personal OneDrive account, you can't directly add users. You can only share files or folders with specific individuals.
