You can select multiple files in Dropbox by using either your mouse or keyboard:
Using Your Mouse:
- Click and Drag: Click on the first file you want to select, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the cursor over the remaining files.
- Shift + Click: Click on the first file, hold down the Shift key, and then click on the last file you want to select. This will select all files between the first and last clicked files.
- Ctrl + Click (Windows) / Cmd + Click (Mac): Click on the first file, hold down the Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) key, and then click on each additional file you want to select. This allows you to select individual files without selecting those in between.
Using Your Keyboard:
- Spacebar: Click on the first file, and then press the Spacebar to select it. You can then use the Spacebar to select or deselect additional files.
- Arrow Keys: Use the arrow keys to navigate through the list of files and select them using the Spacebar.
Selecting All Files
- Ctrl + A (Windows) / Cmd + A (Mac): This shortcut will select all files in the current folder.
Example:
Let's say you want to select files named "report1.pdf", "report2.pdf", and "report3.pdf" in your Dropbox folder. You can achieve this by:
- Clicking and dragging: Click on "report1.pdf", hold down the left mouse button, and drag the cursor over "report2.pdf" and "report3.pdf."
- Shift + Clicking: Click on "report1.pdf", hold down the Shift key, and then click on "report3.pdf." This will select all files between and including "report1.pdf" and "report3.pdf."
- Ctrl + Clicking (Windows) / Cmd + Clicking (Mac): Click on "report1.pdf", hold down the Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) key, and then click on "report2.pdf" and "report3.pdf" individually.
Once you have selected the desired files, you can perform actions such as downloading, moving, copying, or deleting them.
