How Do I Stop Supervision on Family Link?

Published in Family Management 2 mins read

You can stop supervision on Family Link by removing your child's account from Family Link. This will give them full control over their device and Google account.

Here's how:

  1. Open the Family Link app on your device.
  2. Select your child's profile.
  3. Tap on "Manage settings".
  4. Scroll down and tap on "Remove from Family Link".
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Important Note: Removing your child from Family Link will give them complete access to their Google account and device. This includes the ability to download apps, make purchases, and access websites that may be inappropriate for their age. It is important to have a conversation with your child about online safety before removing them from Family Link.

Alternatively, you can adjust the supervision settings on Family Link to give your child more freedom. For example, you can:

  • Allow them to access specific apps and websites.
  • Set screen time limits.
  • Disable in-app purchases.
  • Monitor their location.

You can find more information about Family Link settings on the Google Family Link Help Center.
