How Do You Copy Row Height in Excel?

Published in Excel 1 min read

You can copy row height in Excel by using the Format Painter tool.

Here's how:

  1. Select the row with the desired height.
  2. Click the Format Painter icon on the Home tab (it looks like a paintbrush).
  3. Click the row or rows where you want to apply the copied height.

Additional Methods:

  • Drag and drop: You can also drag the bottom border of a row to adjust its height. Once you have the desired height, you can drag the same border on other rows to apply the same height.
  • Using the Row Height box: Select the row(s) you want to adjust, then enter the desired height in the Row Height box on the Home tab.

Example:

Let's say you want to copy the height of row 5 to rows 10 and 15.

  1. Select row 5.
  2. Click the Format Painter icon.
  3. Click row 10.
  4. Click row 15.

Now, rows 5, 10, and 15 will all have the same height.
