You can't directly disable request responses in Outlook. Instead, you can manage how Outlook handles them:
Options for Request Responses
- Turn off automatic responses: Outlook automatically sends read receipts and delivery notifications. You can disable this by going to File > Options > Mail > Tracking. Uncheck the boxes for "Send read receipts for messages I send" and "Send delivery notifications for messages I send."
- Manually send responses: You can manually send read receipts or delivery notifications by clicking the Options button in the message window and selecting "Request a Read Receipt" or "Request a Delivery Receipt."
- Decline requests: If someone sends a request for a read receipt or delivery notification, you can decline it by clicking the "Decline" button in the message window.
Example
If you want to stop Outlook from automatically sending read receipts, you can follow these steps:
- Open Outlook and click File.
- Select Options.
- Choose Mail from the left-hand menu.
- Under Tracking, uncheck the box for "Send read receipts for messages I send."
- Click OK to save the changes.
By following these steps, you can manage how Outlook handles request responses and avoid sending unwanted confirmations.
