What color is the Earth?

Published in Earth's Colors 1 min read

The Earth is primarily blue, due to the vast expanse of water covering its surface.

However, the Earth's color isn't limited to just blue. It's a vibrant tapestry of colors, including:

  • Green: From lush forests and grasslands
  • Brown: Deserts, mountains, and soil
  • White: Clouds, ice caps, and snow
  • Other: Depending on the time of day and the angle of the sun, the Earth can appear in various hues, such as yellow, orange, and red.

These colors together create a breathtaking mosaic, visible from space as our "pale blue dot."
