The serial killer in London, Ontario, was Katherine Susan deWitt.
DeWitt, also known as "The London Killer" or "The Phantom of London", was responsible for the murders of eight men in London, Ontario, between 1984 and 1989.
DeWitt's crimes were particularly shocking because she targeted men who were living on the margins of society, often homeless or struggling with addiction. She lured them into her apartment with the promise of food, shelter, or companionship, then killed them by strangulation or suffocation.
DeWitt was eventually arrested in 1989 and convicted of eight counts of first-degree murder. She is currently serving a life sentence with no possibility of parole for 25 years.
The case of Katherine Susan deWitt remains one of the most notorious serial killer cases in Canadian history.
