BitLocker does not use a numerical password. Instead, it uses a recovery key, which is a unique alphanumeric code that can be used to unlock an encrypted drive.
You can find your BitLocker recovery key:
- On a USB drive: If you saved your recovery key to a USB drive, you can plug the drive into your computer and access the key.
- In your Microsoft Account: If you saved your recovery key to your Microsoft account, you can log in to your account and retrieve it.
- On a printed copy: If you printed your recovery key, you can find the printed copy.
If you have lost your BitLocker recovery key, you will need to use a third-party tool to recover the key, but this is a complex process and may not be successful.
