To turn on BitLocker on Windows 11, follow these steps:
- Open the Settings app: You can do this by searching for "Settings" in the Start menu or by pressing Windows key + I.
- Go to Privacy & Security: Click on "Privacy & security" in the left-hand menu.
- Select Device Encryption: Click on "Device Encryption" in the right-hand menu.
- Turn on the encryption option: You should see a slider labelled "Encrypt this device". Move the slider to the right to turn on encryption.
Once you turn on BitLocker, your Windows 11 device will begin encrypting your data. This process might take some time, depending on the amount of data you have stored.
Note: BitLocker is available in Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions. If you are using Windows 11 Home, you may not have access to BitLocker.
