How Do I Export OneDrive Backup?

Published in Cloud Storage 2 mins read

You can't directly export a OneDrive backup. OneDrive doesn't create backups in the traditional sense. It simply stores your files in the cloud, making them accessible from any device.

However, you can download your files from OneDrive to your computer, effectively creating a local copy. This acts as a backup in case you need to access your files offline or if your OneDrive account experiences issues.

Here's how to download files from OneDrive:

  1. Log in to your OneDrive account on the web or using the OneDrive app.
  2. Navigate to the files or folders you want to download.
  3. Select the files or folders by clicking on them.
  4. Click the "Download" button in the toolbar.

You can also choose to download entire folders by selecting the folder and clicking the "Download" button.

Once you have downloaded your files, they will be stored on your computer. You can then save them to an external hard drive or other storage device to create a true backup.

Note: You can also use third-party backup solutions to back up your OneDrive data to other cloud storage services or local storage.
