Published in Calendar Management 2 mins read

You can import an Outlook calendar by using the Import/Export feature within Outlook. This allows you to transfer calendar data from other sources, like an ICS file or another email client.

Here's how to import an Outlook calendar:

  1. Open Outlook and navigate to the File tab.
  2. Select Open & Export > Import/Export.
  3. Choose Import from another program or file and click Next.
  4. Select Comma Separated Values (CSV) or Internet Calendar Subscription (ICS) depending on the file type you want to import.
  5. Click Next and browse to the location of your calendar file.
  6. Select the calendar folder where you want to import the data.
  7. Click Finish.

Importing from Another Email Client:

  • If you want to import a calendar from another email client, like Gmail or Yahoo Mail, you can export the calendar as an ICS file and then import it into Outlook.
  • You can also subscribe to a public calendar in Outlook by entering the calendar's URL.

Importing from a Website:

  • Some websites offer public calendars that you can subscribe to in Outlook.
  • To do this, go to the Calendar tab in Outlook, click Add Calendar, and then select From Internet.
  • Enter the calendar's URL and click Add.

Important Note:

  • Before importing a calendar, make sure the file format is compatible with Outlook.
  • Importing a calendar may overwrite existing data, so it's recommended to back up your calendar before importing.
