Exporting a shared calendar allows you to save a copy of the calendar's events and appointments in a format that can be opened in other applications or platforms. The exact process varies depending on the calendar service you're using. Here are some common methods:
Google Calendar
- Open the Google Calendar you want to export.
- Click the Settings gear icon in the top right corner.
- Select Import & Export.
- Click Export.
- Choose the .ics file format.
- Click Export.
This will download an .ics file containing all the events and appointments from your shared Google Calendar.
Outlook Calendar
- Open Outlook and navigate to the shared calendar you want to export.
- Click File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
- Choose Export to a file and click Next.
- Select Comma Separated Values (CSV) and click Next.
- Choose the folder where you want to save the exported file and click Next.
- Click Finish.
This will create a CSV file containing all the events and appointments from your shared Outlook Calendar.
Other Calendar Services
Most calendar services offer a similar export option. You can usually find it under Settings, Options, or Import/Export. Look for options to export to .ics or CSV files.
Note: Exporting a shared calendar only saves a copy of the events and appointments at that specific time. Any changes made to the original calendar after the export will not be reflected in the exported file.
