  3. Select "More tools" and then "Developer tools".
  4. Click the "Performance" tab at the top of the Developer Tools window.
  5. Click the "Record" button in the top left corner of the "Performance" tab.
  6. Choose the desired recording settings:
    • "Capture screen" to record the entire screen.
    • "Capture tab" to record only the current tab.
  7. Click the "Start capturing" button to begin recording.
  8. Click the "Stop capturing" button when you're finished recording.
  9. The recording will be saved as a .json file in your downloads folder.

Using Chrome Extensions

Several Chrome extensions offer screen recording capabilities. Popular options include:

  • Screencastify: This extension provides a simple way to record your screen, webcam, and audio. You can choose to record your entire screen, a specific tab, or a selected area.
  • Loom: This extension allows you to record your screen, webcam, and audio, and share the recordings easily. You can also annotate and edit your recordings.
  • VLC Media Player: While primarily a media player, VLC offers a screen recording feature. It's a robust option for capturing video and audio.

Note: The availability and features of extensions may vary depending on your Chrome version and operating system.
