Many body fluids contain DNA, including:
- Blood: Blood is a rich source of DNA, as it contains white blood cells which carry genetic material.
- Semen: Semen contains a high concentration of DNA from sperm cells.
- Saliva: Saliva contains DNA from cells shed from the mouth.
- Urine: While urine contains DNA, it is often degraded and present in lower concentrations compared to other fluids.
- Sweat: Sweat also contains DNA, but it is generally present in very small amounts.
- Vaginal fluid: Vaginal fluid contains cells from the vaginal lining, which carry DNA.
