There is no scientific evidence to suggest that male sperm is heavier than female sperm or vice versa.
Sperm cells are incredibly small and lightweight, and their weight is not a determining factor in sex determination. The sex of a baby is determined by the X and Y chromosomes present in the sperm cell that fertilizes the egg.
- Female eggs contain only the X chromosome.
- Male sperm cells can carry either the X or Y chromosome.
If a sperm cell carrying the X chromosome fertilizes the egg, the resulting baby will be female (XX). If a sperm cell carrying the Y chromosome fertilizes the egg, the resulting baby will be male (XY).
The weight of the sperm cell does not influence which chromosome it carries. Therefore, there is no correlation between sperm weight and the sex of the offspring.
