The prophet Jonah is known for being sad for years. After being sent by God to preach repentance to the people of Nineveh, Jonah disobeyed and fled in the opposite direction. God caused a storm, and Jonah was swallowed by a large fish. After three days in the fish's belly, Jonah repented and prayed to God. God then commanded the fish to vomit Jonah onto dry land. Jonah then went to Nineveh and preached repentance, and the people repented. However, Jonah was angry that God had spared the people of Nineveh, and he was sad and angry for many years.
