- Diesel engines typically have more torque than gasoline engines, meaning they can produce more power at lower RPMs. This makes them well-suited for heavy-duty applications, such as trucks and tractors.
- Gasoline engines typically have higher horsepower than diesel engines, meaning they can accelerate faster. This makes them well-suited for passenger vehicles and sports cars.
Emissions:
- Diesel engines typically produce more particulate matter and nitrogen oxides than gasoline engines.
- Gasoline engines typically produce more carbon dioxide than diesel engines.
