What planet has no moon?

Published in Astronomy 1 min read

The planet that has no moon is Mercury.

Mercury is the smallest and innermost planet in our solar system. It is also the fastest planet, orbiting the Sun in just 88 Earth days. Due to its proximity to the Sun, Mercury experiences extreme temperature variations, with daytime temperatures reaching over 400 degrees Celsius and nighttime temperatures plummeting to -180 degrees Celsius.

While all the other planets in our solar system have at least one moon, Mercury is the only one that doesn't. This is likely due to its small size and weak gravitational pull, which makes it difficult for Mercury to capture and hold onto any celestial bodies.

Although Mercury has no moons, it does have a very thin atmosphere called an exosphere. This exosphere is composed mostly of sodium, potassium, and helium.
