How Do I Add an Attachment in ArcGIS Online?

You can add attachments to features in ArcGIS Online using the Attachments tab within the Details pane of a feature.

Here's how:

  1. Open the feature's details pane: Click on a feature on the map to open its details pane.
  2. Navigate to the Attachments tab: Click on the Attachments tab in the details pane.
  3. Add attachments:
    • Click the "Add Attachment" button: This will open a file selection dialog box.
    • Choose a file: Select the file you want to attach from your computer.
    • Upload the file: Click "Open" to upload the selected file.

Types of Files You Can Attach:

You can attach various file types, including:

  • Images (jpg, png, gif)
  • Documents (pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx)
  • Audio files (mp3, wav)
  • Video files (mp4, avi)

Viewing Attachments:

Once you add an attachment, you can view it directly within the details pane. Click on the attachment to open it in a new window.

Deleting Attachments:

You can delete an attachment by clicking the trash icon next to the attachment in the Attachments tab.

Note: You need to be logged in to ArcGIS Online and have editing permissions for the layer to add or delete attachments.
