Who is the Father of the First JoJo?

Published in Anime & Manga 1 min read

The father of the first JoJo, Jonathan Joestar, is George Joestar.

George Joestar is a prominent figure in the first part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga and anime series, Phantom Blood. He is a kind and caring man who adopts Jonathan after his parents die in a tragic accident.

George is a skilled martial artist and teaches Jonathan the Joestar family martial art, Hamon. He also instills in Jonathan strong moral values and a sense of justice, which become crucial to Jonathan's character development.

George tragically dies at the hands of Dio Brando, the main antagonist of Phantom Blood. Dio, who was adopted by George after being orphaned, becomes envious of Jonathan and seeks to eliminate him to inherit the Joestar family fortune.

George's death fuels Jonathan's desire to defeat Dio and avenge his adoptive father. This sets the stage for the first part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure saga, where Jonathan and Dio engage in a fierce battle that shapes the future of the Joestar lineage.
