How do you Duplicate an Animation in After Effects?

You can duplicate an animation in After Effects by using the Duplicate command or by copying and pasting.

Using the Duplicate Command

  1. Select the layer containing the animation you want to duplicate.
  2. Right-click on the layer in the timeline.
  3. Choose Duplicate from the context menu.

Copying and Pasting

  1. Select the layer containing the animation you want to duplicate.
  2. Press Ctrl+C (Windows) or Command+C (Mac) to copy the layer.
  3. Right-click in the timeline where you want to paste the duplicated layer.
  4. Choose Paste from the context menu.

Additional Options

  • Duplicate with Properties: You can also choose Duplicate with Properties from the right-click menu to duplicate the layer and its properties, including animation keyframes.
  • Duplicate with Motion: You can use the Duplicate with Motion option to duplicate the layer and its motion blur settings.
